Zine

For this project Mrs. Reese really let the class use their imaginations. She let us use anything we wanted as long as it flowed well and was appealing. We were to use colors that complemented each other than using clashing colors. I choose my fruit theme because I knew I wanted to use the colors of the rainbow. I really liked how I created the fruits by using a stippling technique. I ultimately wanted to use colored pencils to color. One thing I would change is trying to maybe write the adjectives neater.

Linocut Portrait

For this project, we had to find a picture of yourself. We printed the picture and took another sheet of paper to trace and use that to transfer our sketch. We carved into a material called dick blick which was a thick soft rubber. Once we carved or faces out then I put ink all over my stamp I created. We made five prints of the same and one ghost.

Geo-Filter

For this project Mrs. Reese let us pick 10 things that represented yourself. We were told to use 6 main colors. We were to use colors that complemented each other than using clashing colors. I choose things I enjoyed. I really liked how I created the Starbucks cup because its lines are really clean. One thing I would change is trying to make the pizza have better dimensions.

Tee-Shirt Printing

For this project, Mrs. Reese told us to come up with an original design. We first sketched on a paper, then we traced our sketches onto a piece of vinyl. We used exact-o-knives to carve out our design. We stretched a piece of screen on a frame to create a printing board. We took different paints to create our final screen print. I drew this because it's Halloween time and it one of my favorite holiday. I like how the orange and white mixed together. But I wish I would've been more careful cutting out the mouth of my ghost.

Etching

For this project Mrs. Reese let the class choose a three-dimensional photo. We taped the photo to the back of a piece of plexiglass. We used a sharp tool to carve fine lines into the plastic piece. With the plastic piece we then we to the push printer which we rolled our stamp like etching through the mechanism. After we let the paper dry and I used goo-wash to color the final etching. I liked how my pink and brown complimented each other. Next time I would try and carve more carefully around the jaw.

Flyer

I picked Bastille because I love their music and I enjoy their theme. For the head, it is a vector of the main singer. I included some of the songs in the All This "BAD BLOOD" album. I created which looks like his hair and shirt with the song titles. I like how the effects turned out on the bold BASTILLE, it almost looks like shiny dark metal. I tried to keep my flyer simple by using a lot of the same fonts and organization.

Mood Boards 1 & 2

For my mood boards, I knew I wanted to use my favorite color pink. I adore Audrey Hepburn so I featured her in my second poster. I tried to keep it consistent throughout both posters. I also enjoyed my bug picture, I got creative because I didn't like how an actual bug looked like so I used a Volks Wagon. Overall I think that the colors flow nicely and the spacing between pictures was well.

Pet Vector

For my Pet Illustration, I created a Husky because they are cute and fluffy. I knew it would be hard to create the fluff of the fur but I wanted to be challenged. I added the NIU because my sister committed there and I wanted this to be a gift. I like how everything turned out at the end
